Father's Day is not celebrated in Japan. * But we wanted to make a card for our dads. * We made an origami pencil to put on our card. * Inside, the card says: * お父さん、いつもありがとう！ Otoosan, itsumo arigatou ! * Dear Dad, Thanks for everything you do.
First, take a rectangle of coloured paper.
Turn the paper white side up.
Fold over about 1cm at the top.
Turn the paper over, and fold two triangles at the top to make a point.
Turn the paper over. It is starting to look like a pencil !
Fold up the coloured end so that about 2cm of white is showing.
Turn the paper over.
Fold each side in to the middle. Buddy Bear will help you !
Make sure your folds are neat.
Turn it over - you have made an origami pencil !
Glue the pencil to the front of your card, and decorate.
